The Davis County Country and Old Time Music Festival is held each year in September at the Davis County Fair facilities in Bloomfield, IA and is sponsored by the Davis County Agricultural Society. This year the 43rd festival will be held September 19-21, 2014. Campers will be welcome beginning Sunday, September 14.
There is no admission charge to the three-day event and camping is available on a donation basis. Each year 250-300 camping units arrive on the fair grounds on Sunday prior to the festivals start on the following Friday. The grounds become a little village of campers. Many travel from a great distance to attend the event every year.

County, bluegrass and old time music can be heard from three covered stages Friday night through Sunday morning. Dancing is available most nights in the covered picnic shelter. Many impromptu jam sessions are held around campsites from the time campers arrive on Sunday until they leave the following Sunday.
Food is available on Wednesday and Thursday nights, with the kitchen opening on Friday morning through Sunday morning for a full menu of delicious home-cooked food, pie and ice cream. Prices charged for food is very reasonable.

Facilities offered include clean restrooms with hot showers, electric hookup for campers and many buildings for jam sessions.
