The Cedar Valley Jaycees are proud to announce that the 2016 Fireworks Festival will be held Saturday July 2nd at the National Cattle Congress Grounds. The Cedar Valley Jaycees are excited to partner with the National Cattle Congress to provide the best fireworks festival in Waterloo, with the fireworks show beginning around 10:00 p.m. The Cedar Valley Jaycees Fireworks Festival is one of the few community-based fireworks displays in the Cedar Valley. With no admission fee, the Fireworks Festival has drawn up to 15,000 people to Waterloo and encourages festival attendees of all ages, socioeconomic statuses, and backgrounds to come together in one location to celebrate our countries independence.

As always, the Cedar Valley Jaycees will provide plenty of family, friendly pre-fireworks excitement with free, live music.

The Cedar Valley Jaycees have been involved with coordinating the Fireworks Festival since at least 1995. At that time the festival was a collaboration with now Main Street Waterloo. In 2002 the Cedar Valley Jaycees became the sole organization in charge of planning and implementing the festival. Known as one of the largest fireworks displays in Eastern Iowa, the event is completely run and staffed by volunteers and is the second largest project run by the Cedar Valley Jaycees.
